Who This Protocol Is Built For
You probably already know why you're stressed. That's usually not the problem.
Most people who come to me can explain their own situation clearly. They've read about it, thought about it, maybe talked it through with someone. And their chest still goes tight on the drive home.
Understanding a pattern and changing it turn out to be different jobs.
Why thinking about it isn't enough
When your system is already activated, the part of you that reasons isn't in charge. You can tell yourself the meeting went fine. Your body has already decided otherwise and it isn't taking questions.
So this work starts lower down. We slow things down and pay attention to what's actually happening in your body, rather than the account you give of it afterwards. Not instead of thinking. Just first.
What happens in a session
Sessions are 60 minutes, online or in person. You stay fully clothed, there's no physical contact, and nothing is forced. You stay in control throughout.
We'll usually start with how stress shows up for you physically, where it sits, and whether you tend to go up under pressure (fast, alert, braced) or down (heavy, flat, stalled). Neither is a fault. It's just useful to know your own pattern.
Then we work with simple physical things you can use when something gets intense. Orienting, breathing, coming back into the room. Practised here, so they're available to you later.
Everyone's different, so we'll talk through what that looks like for you on the first call.
What people often notice
Calmer in the body. Clearer about what's driving a reaction, instead of it feeling random. Less reactive to things that used to set them off. A bit more room between what happens and how they respond.
I can't promise any of that. It varies, and it takes time.
Who this tends to suit
People who've hit the limit of understanding it. People who function fine and are running on adrenaline. People who can't switch off in the evening, or at the weekend, or on holiday.
I've worked with veterans, executives, and people with nothing obvious in common with either. The backgrounds differ enormously. Nervous systems turn out to work much the same way.
What this isn't
This is supportive, body-based coaching. It isn't psychotherapy, counselling, or medical or psychiatric care, and it doesn't replace them. It isn't a crisis service.
If you're already working with a doctor or a therapist, keep doing that. This sits alongside, never instead.
Cost
The first conversation is free; around 20-30 minutes, video or phone.
